    CityMove-CityLog joint workshop: Towards clean, safe and sustainable city logistics

    A workshop for cities and regions on improving urban freight deliveries will take place at Polis in Brussels on 21 February. The workshop will aim at installing a dialogue around the development of new operations and vehicle technologies.

    CityLog and CityMove at the 8th ITS Congress in Lyon

    CityLog and CityMove projects participated in the 8th ITS European Congress held in Lyon in the session on urban freight logistics. Around 35 participants had the opportunity to hear about several technologies and city experiences of urban freight logistics.

    The session moderated by Julius Menge, Berlin test site leader, discussed the different ways of distributing freight inside the urban area by using ITS technologies, innovative vehicle features and clever energy efficiency services which could lead to low noise, low emissions, efficient operations and safe manoeuvres.

    Logistics & Transportation Fair, Goteborg, Sweden

    CityLog project will be present at the Logistik & Transportmässan (Logistics & Transportation fair) scheduled for May 25-27th in Goteborg, Sweden. A seminar will be set up in order to disseminate the results of the OPTIMIST project, led by the University of Skövde, that is using the use cases of the CityLog project, as well as the Swedish national project Intelligent Infrastructure and the EU funded project Logistics for Life, where concepts and results will be shared.

    Seventh International Conference on City Logistics

    CityLog will participate in the Seventh International Conference on City Logistics, that will be held in Mallorca, Spain, on 7th - 9th June 2011. This conference aims to provide an opportunity to exchange knowledge, experience and perspectives on City Logistics and urban freight transport. Recent developments in creating visions, technologies and policy measures that facilitate the deployment of various City Logistics schemes will be discussed. Since City Logistics schemes have already been implemented in several cities, a review of the performance of these schemes will also be presented.
